Hier das Poster und der offizielle Plot von „…of the Dead“, den Jet hier schonmal vorstellte, nur dass er damals noch keinen Namen hatte.

On a small island off the cost of North America the Dead Rise to menace the living. The islanders can’t bring themselves to exterminate the loir loved ones despite the growing danger from those they once held dear. A rebel among them hunts down all the zombies he can find only to be banished from the island for assassinating his neighbors and friends.

On the mainland, bent on revenge, he encounters a small band of Survivors in search of an oasis on which to build a new life. Barely surviving an attack from a mass of ravenous flesh eaters they commandeer a zombie infested ferry and sail to the island. There to their horor they discover that the locals have chained the dead inside their homes pretending to live ‘normal lives’ with bloody consequences.

What ensues is a desperate struggle for survival and the answer to question never posed in Romeros dead films.. can the living ever live in peace with the dead? (via Horror-Movies)

Was sonst waren denn die Experimente mit Mr. Ich-kann-eine-Pistole-halten-Zombie aus „Day of the Dead“, wenn nicht genau eine Anspielung auf diese Frage? Sicher, damals hatte er keine finale Antwort auf die Frage gegeben, aber „question never posed in Romeros Dead Films“ ist wohl maßlos übertrieben.

  1. Ähm…ich steh grad auf’m Schlauch: Ist das ‘n Platzhalter oder ein Scherz oder heißt der wirklich “…of the Dead”?
    Ich freu mich jedenfalls, klingt für mich irgendwie interessanter als der schwache “Diary of the Dead”.

  5. mag ja sein, dass diese Frage noch nie in einem Romero Film gestellt, aber in einem Simon Pegg Film wurde sie schon gestellt…..

  6. Als völliger Romero Fanboy (und stolz drauf :) ) freut mich diese Nachricht natürlich besonders.

    Und zum Plot, logische Konsequenz aus DAY OF THE DEAD und auch LAND OF THE DEAD.Besonders in ersterem wurde das Thema ob eine “friedliche” co-exsistenz möglich ist behandelt.

    Die Szenen, in denen der Chef-Wissenschaftler versucht Bub (Oscar-Verdächtig gespielt von Howard Sherman) “Menschliche” Verhaltensweisen näherzubringen und ihn damit zu zähmen,was ihm auch gelingt ! sind genial….
