Hier ein neues Poster und ein neuer Trailer zu „Moon“ von Duncan Jones aka Zowie Bowie aka David Bowies Sohn, und der Trailer sieht fantastisch aus. Das Poster gibt’s in groß bei AICN, hier der Plot von IMDB:
Sam Bell (Sam Rockwell) is nearing the end of his contract with Lunar. He’s been a faithful employee for 3 long years. His home has been Selene, a moon base where he has spent his days alone, mining Helium 3. The precious gas holds the key to reversing the Earth’s energy crisis.
Isolated, determined and steadfast, Sam has followed the rulebook obediently and his time on the moon has been enlightening, but uneventful. The solitude has given him time to reflect on the mistakes of his past and work on his raging temper. He does his job mechanically, and spends most of his available time dreaming of his imminent return to Earth, to his wife, young daughter and an early retirement.
But 2 weeks shy of his departure from Selene, Sam starts seeing things, hearing things and feeling strange. And when a routine extraction goes horribly wrong, he discovers that Lunar have their own plans for replacing him and the new recruit is eerily familiar.
Before he can return to Earth, Sam has to confront himself and the discovery that the life he has created, may not be his own. It’s more than his contract that is set to expire.

Wo ich doch immer jammere, dass es kaum mehr gescheite Sci-Fi-Filme gibt… sieht gut aus. Freu mich.

Oh mein Gott! Habe den Trailer schon vor einiger Zeit gesehen und fand ihn ganz interessant. Es war mir aber gar nicht bewusst dass Zowie Jones Regie führt! Dann ist für mich als Bowie-Überfan ein Kinobesuch auf jeden Fall Pflicht.
Das Poster ist auch richtig geil designt, so richtig schön im 60er-Sci-Fi-Style. Sowas will ich öfter sehen.

sieht aus wie eine Mischung aus Odyssee im Weltraum und Solaris.
Ich hoffe, da kommen noch ein paar eigene Ideen rein. Aber besser gut geklaut als schlecht selbst gemacht.
Außerdem tut es echt gut, so einen Old-School-SciFi zu sehen. Müssen ja nicht alle modernen SciFi-Filme Action-Kracher sein.

Die Hoffnung hatte ich bei Sunshine auch, das ging ja ganz gut nach hinten los. Mal ernsthaft: Ein Weltraumfilm mit einer sanften Übercomputerstimme, die augenscheinlich irgendwann durchdreht.? Och nö.

Hm fühlt sich bißchen nach Dark Star an.
Und vom Trailer würd ich vermuten, das die Hauptfigur ein Klon oder sowas ist, der nach drei Jahren kaputt geht, anfängt zu haluzinieren und deswegen immer wieder durch neue Klone ausgetauscht wird.

Er hat mit Sicherheit recht, dass war auch mein erster Gedanke. Ich schwankte etwas zwischen Schizophrenie und Klontechnik.
Aber Klonen läßt doch mehr Raum für einen guten Spannungsbogen. Am Ende wird sich der Kreis schließen und der neue Klon sitzt genauso da, wie der alte und schaut auf dem Bildschirm diesselbe Übertragung seiner Frau und des Kindes zu…
