Hier der Trailer zu Francis Ford Coppolas „Tetro“, der erste Film seit seinem 1974er Überwachungs-Thriller „The Conversation“, zu dem er ein Drehbuch schrieb, das nicht auf einer Vorlage basierte. Snip von IMDB:
Fresh faced and naive, 17-year-old Bennie arrives in Buenos Aires to search for his older brother who has been missing for more than a decade. The family had emigrated from Italy to Argentina, but with the great musical success of their father Carlo, an acclaimed symphony conductor, the family moved from Argentina to New York. When Bennie finds his brother, the volatile and melancholy poet Tetro, he is not at all what he expected. In the course of staying with Tetro and his girlfriend Miranda, the two brothers grapple with the haunting experiences of their shared past.

Wie ist denn der erste Satz gemeint? Coppola hat nämlich auch die Drehbücher für z.B. YOUTH WITHOUT YOUTH, RAINMAKER, RUMBLE FISH oder APOCALYPSE NOW geschrieben.

Ich hab mich damals total auf Youth Without Youth gefreut und mich von diesem Schrott bi hete nicht erholt. Dieser Trailer hier sieht auch nicht viel besser aus. Als würde man auf Krampf versuchen, einen “Europäischen” Film zu machen.
Einfach nur schockierend, was aus Coppola geworden ist.
