Schöner neuer Trailer zu Zack Snyders Superman-Film mit jeder Menge Wumms statt Schmalz. Mag ich.

Hier der Trailer zu Europa Report mit Sharlto Copley, eine Space-Alien-Saga, die wissenschaftlich ziemlich realistisch sein soll und ziemlich exakt aussieht, wie seinerzeits 2010. Finde ich toll, aber ich hab’ 2010 damals als Kind als einen meiner ersten Filme überhaupt im Kino gesehen, hab’ zwar nix gerafft mit meinen 10 Jahren, aber hauptsache Space. Das Alien-Attack-Gekröse am Ende will zwar nicht so richtig zur Tonalität vom Rest des Films passen, aber anschauen wird man sich Europa Report wohl müssen als SciFi-Fan.

EUROPA REPORT follows a contemporary mission to Jupiter’s moon Europa to investigate the possible existence of alien life within our solar system. When unmanned probes suggest that a hidden ocean could exist underneath Europa’s icy surface and may contain single-celled life, Europa Ventures, a privately funded space exploration company, sends six of the best astronauts from around the world to confirm the data and explore the revolutionary discoveries that may lie in the Europan ocean.

After a near-catastrophic technical failure that leads to loss of communication with Earth and the tragic death of a crewmember, the surviving astronauts must overcome the psychological and physical toll of deep space travel, and survive a discovery on Europa more profound than they had ever imagined.

Hier der erste richtige Trailer zur Fernsehadaption von Stephen Kings Under The Dome. Ich mochte das Buch ja sehr gerne, trotz des schwachen Endes. Ich stehe einfach auf das Glaskuppel-Szenario und die Serie sieht zwar ebenfalls nicht wirklich großartig aus, aber durchaus nach wegguckbarer Fernsehunterhaltung. Die 13 Episoden laufen ab dem 24. Juni auf CBS.

On an entirely normal, beautiful fall day in Chester’s Mill, Maine, the town is inexplicably and suddenly sealed off from the rest of the world by an invisible force field. Planes crash into it and fall from the sky in flaming wreckage, a gardener’s hand is severed as “the dome” comes down on it, people running errands in the neighboring town are divided from their families, and cars explode on impact. Schön-fieser Trailer zum zweiten Teil von V/H/S, dessen Vorgänger ich trotz einer gewissen diffusen Ziellosigkeit sehr gerne mochte. Ich bin prinzipiell kein großer Freund von Found Footage, mag die neuere Generation dieses Sub-Genres allerdings ziemlich gerne. Die einzelnen Segmente kommen diesmal von Simon Barrett und Adam Wingard (VHS, A Horrible Way to Die, You’re Next), Gareth Evans (The Raid), Eduardo Sanchez und Gregg Hale (Blair Witch Project), Jason Eisener (Hobo with a Shotgun) and Timo Tjahjanto (Macabre). Tolles Regie-Ensemble mit mindestens drei Filmen, die ich gerne mag (und keiner davon heisst Blair Witch Project). Ich bin sehr gespannt.

Ganz, ganz großartiger Trailer zu Ari Folmans The Congress mit Harvey Keitel und Robin Wright, der lose auf Stanislav Lems Der futurulogische Kongress basiert. Ari Folman hatte 2008 den fantastischen Waltz with Bashir gedreht, und wie bei Waltz mischt er hier wieder Animation und Realfilm zu einem opulenten und für Lem angemessen weird aussehenden SciFi-Dingsbums, Der Film feiert auf dem Cannes Filmfest im Mai Premiere, für mich ein Pflichtfilm – ich liebe Stanislav Lem und ich liebe Waltz With Bashir und die Kombination aus beiden macht mich wirklich ziemlich feucht im Schritt.

Auf dem Poster sieht man übrigens im Hintergrund Picasso mit einer Blondine im Arm entlanglatschen, Osama Bin Laden und Jesus mit einem Herz-Tattoo-Print auf seinem Gewand. Der Trailer ist jetzt bereits gespickt mit Filmzitaten, mit The Congress könnte Ari Folman sein Mashup aus Tarantinoschem Zitatkino, französischem Fantasy-Opus und polnischer Science Fiction geschaffen haben und – ich beton’s extra nochmal – mich macht das extrem feucht im Schritt. Absolutes und komplettes Must Watch. Endlich eine angemessene Lem-Verfilmung. Ichkriegmichgarnichmehreinfantastisch. Mindblowing.

A loose adaptation of Stanislaw Lem’s “The Futurological Congress,” a 1971 black humour science fiction detailing the exploits of the hero of a number of his books, Ijon Tichy, as he visits the Eighth World Futurological Congress at the Costa Rica Hilton. The book is Lem’s take on the common sci-fi trope of an apparently Utopian future that turns out to be an illusion.

Robin Wright (Robin Wright) receives an offer from Miramount to be scanned. In this way, her alias can be freely exploited in all films the Hollywood major decides to produce, even the most downmarket ones, the ones she has turned down until now. For 20 years she disappears to return as guest of honor at the Miramount-Nagasaki Convention in a transformed world of fantastical appearances.

Hier der Trailer zu den zweiten Hungerspielen. Ich mochte den ersten Teil ja ganz gerne und hab’ die Twilight-Vergleiche nie so ganz nachvollziehen können… was hat nochmal ein „Battle Royale“-Ripoff mit einer neo-verklemmten Vampir-Saga gemeinsam, von den glatten MTV-Fressen mal abgesehen? Genau, nix. Jedenfalls: Hunger Games 2, Trailer, nett.

Hier der Trailer zu Elysium mit Matt Damon, Jodie Foster und Sharlto Copley, Neill Blomkamps zweitem Film nach dem sensationellen „District 9“ (Review hier und hier). So wie das aussieht, dürfte Elysium ebenfalls wieder ein ziemliches Brett werden und Blomkamp strickt hier seine Mischung aus ganz eigener, gritty-realistischer Bildsprache, irren Effekten, Gesellschaftskritik und dem Thema Immigration zu intelligenter Science-Fiction, die derzeit anscheinend nur er im Kino hinbekommt.

Und anscheinend spinnt Blomkamp den Plot von District 9 in Elysium mit anderen Figuren mehr oder weniger weiter: Am Ende von District 9 saß Wikus van de Merwe als Alien in den Slums von Südafrika und hoffte auf eine Rückkehr in die „gehobene Gesellschaft“, hier kämpft sich Matt Damon seinen Weg eben genau dahin, nach Elysium. Man muss natürlich abwarten, aber ich bin schon ziemlich begeistert. Hier noch eine Viral-Seite mit ein paar weiteren Visuals, hier der Trailer und der Plot:

Schönes Video zu Marvels Phase 2 mit ersten Szenen aus Thor 2, Captain America 2 und – sofern man das geleakte Video von neulich rausnimmt – das erste offizielle Material aus Edgar Wrights Ant-Man. Der Anfang ist natürlich reine Iron Man 3-Promo, aber wurscht. Ich mag das sehr, wie Marvel seine Comicverfilmungen angeht, auch wenn ich mit den Guardians of the Galaxy gar nichts anfangen kann… zugegeben: Ich hab’ mich noch so rein gar nicht mit denen beschäftigt, taugen die was? Jedenfalls: Schicker Clip!

Hier der erste Teaser-Trailer zum neuen Riddick-Film, nachdem um einen dritten Teil seit ein paar Jahren rumgerüchtet wurde. Man orientiert sich offensichtlich wieder am tollen Trash „Pitch Black“, aber ob das hinhauen wird, ist fraglich. Die Tricks sehen noch ziemlich unfertig aus, aber hey: Riddick 3!

Hier der neue, internationale Star Trek-Trailer (und ein neues Poster). Ich mag den, denke ich, aber ich mochte auch bereits den ersten und bin Abrams für die Starwarsierung der Enterprise sehr dankbar und der Reboot hat diesem Franchise mehr als gut getan.

Das Ant Man-Testfootage von Edgar Wright von der letztjährigen San Diego Comic-Con ist ins Netz geleaked und es sieht wirklich gut aus, aber ich hab’ sowieso was mit miniaturisierten Menschen am Hut. Schnell anschauen, das Teil ist wahrscheinlich schneller gelöscht, als ich Hank oder Pym sagen kann.

Hier der erste Trailer zu Kick Ass 2. Ich hatte ein paar Probleme mit dem ersten Teil (hier unsere Reviews), auch wenn er hervorragendes Blockbuster-Kino war und wer das Comic zu „Kick Ass 2“ kennt, kann ahnen, dass die Gewaltverherrlichung hier wohl eher noch ausgeprägter rüberkommen dürfte. Ziemlich unterhaltsam sieht das bei all dem natürlich trotzdem aus. Der Mann in dem Camo-Anzug ist übrigens Jim Carrey.

The costumed high-school hero Kick-Ass joins with a group of normal citizens who have been inspired to fight crime in costume. Meanwhile, the Red Mist plots an act of revenge that will affect everyone Kick-Ass knows.

Hübscher Trailer zum zweiten Teil der CGI-Hackfleisch-Saga mit Hamburger-Tierchen und einem Taco-Monster. Mag ich sehr gerne, wie das Original schon, und jetzt hab’ ich Hunger.

Es gab in letzter Zeit jede Menge Poster zu Iron Man 3, das hier ist das neueste und das erste das Ärsche tritt. Sieht ganz danach aus, als ob Tony Stark im dritten Teil seine Iron Legion aufbaut.

Wie jedes Jahr wurden auch gestern am Vortag der Oscar Verleihung die Goldene Himbeere für die furchtbarsten Filme und schlechtesten Schauspieler vergeben. Hier die „Gewinner“ der Razzies 2012, Twilight hat mal wieder voll verdient abgeräumt:

„The Incredible Shrinking Man“ von Jack Arnold nach einer Story von Richard Matheson, gehört zu meinen absoluten SciFi-Lieblingsfilmen und ich warte seit Jahrzehnten (tatsächlich!) auf ein angemessenes Remake. Jetzt scheint’s soweit zu sein: MGM hat die Rechte gekauft, nachdem Universal den Stoff zum Glück nicht als Comedy-Version mit Eddie Murphy umgesetzt hatten und die Rechte verfallen ließen. Richard Matheson arbeitet selbst zusammen mit seinem Sohn am Script, das die Atom-Panik von damals modernisiert und auf Nanotechnologie als Bedrohung setzt.

Die Zeichen stehen recht gut, dass man das Remake recht zügig angehen wird, um beim 2015er Release von Marvels „Ant Man“ mit am Start zu sein. Überhaupt: Sommer 2015, da geht einiges… Star Wars, Ant Man, Avengers 2, The Incredible Shrinking Man… könnte ein guter Sommer für gelungene SciFi-Fantasy-Blockbuster werden. Ich freu’ mich.
