Ganz wunderbarer Trailer zu Michel Gondrys „Mood Indigo“. Träumerisch, verspielt und Audrey Tutu, mehr muss man dazu nicht sagen.

Gondry’s Mood Indigo, based on Boris Vian’s 1947 novel “L’Ecume des jours” (or “Froth on the Daydream”), stars Audrey Tautou as Chloë, a woman who marries an inventor but falls ill during their honeymoon thanks to a water lily that enters her lung, and the only way to treat the ailment is to surround her with fresh flowers — an expense that soon drains his funds.

Sowohl The Wrap als auch Deadline berichten unabhängig voneinander, dass JJ Abrams einen Deal mit Disney für die Regie des siebten Star Wars-Teils abgeschlossen hat. Beide beziehen sich auf einen Insider, wahrscheinlich sogar denselben, und es würde mich auch nicht wundern, wenn man morgen die ätzende Internetkackheadline „No, JJ Abrams does not direct Star Wars“ lesen müsste. Aber anscheinend ist hier doch mehr als ein bisschen was dran, Borys Kit vom Hollywood-Reporter twittert ein „Confirmed“. JJ Abrams und Star Wars. Ich bin gespannt und nach wie vor optimistisch, ich mag Abrams, auch wenn ich seine „Mystery“-Masche für Bullshit halte.

Hier der Trailer zum neuen Kunstraub-Film von Danny Boyle. Sieht großartig aus! Hier der Plot: „An art auctioneer who has become mixed up with a group of criminals partners with a hypnotherapist in order to recover a lost painting.“

Die Oscar-Nominierungen wurden bekanntgegeben. Ein paar kurze Bemerkungen: Argo und Life of Pi räumen mit 7 bzw. 11 Nominierungen sehr verdient unter anderem den Besten Film ab, Les Misérables hat ebenfalls 8 Nominierungen geholt, lustig finde ich die Nominierung der Zwerg-Frisuren aus dem Hobbit (der mit nur 3 Noms deutlich abgestraft wurde, genau wie leider PTAs The Master und der langweilige Scheiß „Beasts of a Southern Wild“, der immerhin mit Quvenzhané Wallis die jüngste Actress-Nominierung aller Zeiten abbekommen hat) und es freut mich sehr, dass das Internet-Viral Fresh Guacamole von PES auf der Liste steht. Und dann natürlich: Christoph Waltz wurde völlig verdient als Supporting Actor für Django Unchained unchained (und mich wundert sehr [sehr!], dass DiCaprio nicht nominiert wurde, die beiden tragen den Film quasi im Duett und führen in Django ein echt richtig fantastisches Schauspiel auf… aber hey, immerhin: Waltz!)

Verliehen wird er am 24. Februar mit Host Seth MacFarlane. Here we go:

Hier der neue Trailer zu „The Great Gatsby“ von Baz Luhrmann mit Leonardo DiCaprio und Tobey Maguire. Ich bin mit Luhrmanns exaltiertem Stil nie warm geworden, aber das hier finde ich aus irgend einem Grund ziemlich fantastisch, auch wenn der Soundtrack im letzten Viertel des Trailer gar nicht geht.

Ziemlich grandioser Trailer zu „No!“ um den chilenischen Werber Rene (Ha!), der mit einer innovativen Kampagne für die Opposition maßgeblich die Stimmung in seinem Land beeinflusste und den Umsturz herbeiführte. Gefilmt auf VHS, trotzdem tolle Bilder, schöner Schnitt, mag ich alles, sehr.

Das war ja nur eine Frage der Zeit: Angry Birds wird verfilmt und ich werde mir das Ergebnis definitiv nicht ansehen. Produzent John Cohen hatte vor ein paar Jahren die Idee mit den Chipmunks-Filmen. Nuff said.

Neuer Trailer zu Gore Verbinskis Lone Ranger-Verfilmung und in diesem Trailer gibt man sich sichtlich Mühe, den Stoff auch für Ranger-n00bs wie mich verständlich zu machen, mit eher so mittlerem Erfolg: Ich kann mit dem Stoff nach wie vor so gar nix anfangen, bin aber auch zugegeben nicht der größte aller Western-Fans. Und das Pirates-of-the-Caribbean-Ripoff-Visual in der Mitte des Trailers zeigt dann auch so ein bisschen Verzweiflung auf Disneys Seite, die nach Semi-Flops wie Tron 2 oder John Carter of Mars dringend mal wieder einen richtigen Blockbuster brauchen. Ob der Lone Ranger da das richtige Zugpferd – Pun intended – ist, wage ich einfach mal zu bezweifeln.

Aber zugegeben: Das Pferd im Baum ist sehr nett.
