Lars Olaafsen , once a young celebrity in the art world is slipping away fast into the land of has-beens. Ronny, his long-time art dealer wants his meal ticket back but Lars refuses to paint. His creativity comes at too high a cost. His inspiration is carnage – blood, guts and limbs – and he’s vowed to never go down that dark road again. An overly eager Ronny arranges a job for Matthew teaching art in a small town. It’s a “therapeutic measure” – a means to conquer his need to paint while in the “safety” of a country retreat…

Despite the odd assortment of local eccentrics (and a couple of hostile teachers) things look promising overall for Lars at his new job. That is, until he meets 30-year-old Eddie, a brawny mute who attends the school and harbours a dark and sordid secret of his own…

Set in a too-near future, a man searches for a meaningful connection as humanity’s last days are at hand. Can he find his greatest love at the worst possible time? As the respective journeys of Dodge and Penny converge, the two spark to each other and their outlooks – if not the world’s – brighten.

Loveless, jobless and possibly terminally ill, Frank has had enough of the downward spiral of America. With nothing left to lose, Frank takes his gun and decides to off the stupidest, cruelest and most repellent members of society with an unusual accomplice: 16-year-old Roxy, who shares his sense of rage and disenfranchisement. From stand-up comedian and director Bobcat Goldthwait comes a scathing and hilarious attack on all that is sacred in the United States of America.

Schöner Trailer zu „Jeff, Who Lives At Home“ mit Jason Segel. Hier der Plot: „On his way to the store to buy wood glue, Jeff looks for signs from the universe to determine his path. However, a series of comedic and unexpected events leads him to cross paths with his family in the strangest of locations and circumstances. Jeff just may find the meaning of his life… and if he’s lucky, pick up the wood glue as well.“

Hier der Trailer zur neuen Sacha Baron Cohen Oneman-Show: The Dictator.

Left on a nun’s doorstep, Larry, Curly and Moe grow up finger-poking, nyuk-nyuking and woo-woo-wooing their way to uncharted levels of knuckleheaded misadventure. Out to save their childhood home, only The Three Stooges could become embroiled in an oddball murder plot…while also stumbling into starring in a phenomenally successful TV reality show.

OH NO YOU DIDN’T!

Hope you are well.

One of our partners is currently working on the 3D conversion of classic black and white movies.

He has secured the rights and is in the middle of production of several Charlie Chaplin movies, which will form one 90 minute 3D movie titled “Chaplin 3D – Little Tramp´s Adventure”. The 3D looks amazing, much better than most of the conversions which were shown in theaters so far.

We are looking for a US deal or possible worldwide deal (excluding German speaking and Turkey). The producer of the 3D version is in town now, and we could show you during or in the days after AFM a short demo reel with the 3D footage in a theatre from DCP.

Please let us know if this would be interesting for you. We would be happy to arrange a screening.

Schade.

In the comedy American Reunion, all the American Pie characters we met a little more than a decade ago are returning to East Great Falls for their high-school reunion. In one long-overdue weekend, they will discover what has changed, who hasn’t and that time and distance can’t break the bonds of friendship. It was summer 1999 when four small-town Michigan boys began a quest to lose their virginity. In the years that have passed, Jim and Michelle married while Kevin and Vicky said goodbye. Oz and Heather grew apart, but Finch still longs for Stifler’s mom. Now these lifelong friends have come home as adults to reminisce about—and get inspired by—the hormonal teens who launched a comedy legend.

Schöner Trailer zu „Young Adult“ mit Charlize Theron, Patrick Wilson und Patton Oswalt, inszeniert von Jason Reitman, Drehbuch von Diablo Cody, die das letzte mal bei „Juno“ zusammenarbeiteten. Dürfte ziemlich schick werden.

Charlize Theron plays Mavis Gary, a writer of teen literature who returns to her small hometown to relive her glory days and attempt to reclaim her happily married high school sweetheart (Patrick Wilson). When returning home proves more difficult than she thought, Mavis forms an unusual bond with a former classmate (Patton Oswalt) who hasn’t quite gotten over high school, either.

Hier der neue Trailer zu „Tower Heist“ mit Ben Stiller, Eddie Murphy, Matthew Broderick, Téa Leoni, Gabourey Sidibe, Casey Affleck, Stephen Henderson, Judd Hirsch, Michael Peña und Alan Alda. Netter Sonntagnachmittags-Snack auf DVD.

Ben Stiller and Eddie Murphy lead an all-star cast in Tower Heist, a comedy caper about working stiffs who seek revenge on the Wall Street swindler who stiffed them. After the workers at a luxury Central Park condominium discover the penthouse billionaire has stolen their retirement, they plot the ultimate revenge: a heist to reclaim what he took from them. Queens native Josh Kovacs (Stiller) has managed one of the most luxurious and well-secured residences in New York City for more than a decade. Under his watchful eye, nothing goes undetected. In the swankiest unit atop Josh’s building, Wall Street titan Arthur Shaw (Alan Alda) is under house arrest after being caught stealing two billion from his investors. The hardest hit among those he defrauded? The tower staffers whose pensions he was entrusted to manage. With only days before Arthur gets away with the perfect crime, Josh’s crew turns to petty crook Slide (Murphy) to plan the nearly impossible…to steal what they are sure is hidden in Arthur’s guarded condo. Though amateurs, these rookie thieves know the building better than anyone. Turns out they’ve been casing the place for years, they just didn’t know it.

Jack Black, Steve Martin und Owen Wilson auf Reisen bzw. auf der Flucht vor ihren Sinnkrisen. Sieht nach angenehm unterhaltsamer leichter Kost aus.

Steve Martin, Jack Black and Owen Wilson are at a crossroads — one is experiencing a mid-life crisis, another a late-life crisis, and the third, a far from ordinary no-life crisis. From David Frankel, the director of The Devil Wears Prada and Marley & Me, comes a sophisticated comedy about three friendly rivals who, tired of being ruled by obligations and responsibilities, dedicate a year of their lives to following their dreams. Their big year takes them on a cross-country journey of wild and life-changing adventures.

Super!

Maggie Gyllenhaal and Hugh Dancy star in this cheeky romantic comedy about the invention of the vibrator. Victorian London is brought to life in vivid colour as a young doctor (Dancy) struggles to establish himself while confronting the gutsy daughter of his boss (Gyllenhaal). Rupert Everett and Felicity Jones play supporting roles.

The new drama centres on a notorious television confrontation that took place on 9 November 1979 between two of the Pythons, Cleese and Palin, and the Roman Catholic writer and broadcaster Malcolm Muggeridge, who believed that Life of Brian was a weak and scurrilous attack on Christianity. At Muggeridge’s side for the debate on the BBC2 show Friday Night, Saturday Morning was the Bishop of Southwark, Mervyn Stockwood.

“You might say Holy Flying Circus is a comedy equivalent of the film Frost/Nixon, marking a historic TV moment, but that was much more factual and we are playful, although the debate itself is verbatim,” explained Harris.

“I do wonder whether viewers will realise that, because some of it is quite extraordinary.” […]

During the TV debate, chaired by the lyricist Tim Rice, Muggeridge called the film “squalid” and “tenth rate”. The bishop levelled some low blows too, accusing the film of being “fourth form revue” standard and implying the Pythons were “mentally deficient”.

“It was a clash of cultures. Palin became quite frustrated, but both he and Cleese remained respectful. But the respect wasn’t returned,” said Harris.

@stephenfry: „Landed in lovely London. Str8 off to studio to play God in a BBC drama about loony/violent reaction to Python masterpiece ‘Life of Brian’“ und später „Oh dear, Stephen’s on the naughty step again. ‘Please don’t tweet pics of you as God’ Ops. Too late. They should know me by now *selfspank*“
