Nachdem ich mich nicht traute den ersten Trailer anzuschauen, habe ich es mal beim zweiten Trailer gewagt. Und bereut. Ich glaube, ich habe selten so ein schlechtes Gefühl bei einem Trailer gehabt, wie bei V/H/S. Ich muss mir jetzt sofort einen Disneyfilm anschauen. Oder irgendeine romantische Komödie mit Drew Barrymore..!

Toller Trailer zur Horror-Anthologie V/H/S mit Kurzgeschichten von u.a. Adam Wingard (A Horrible Way to Die), Glenn McQuaid (I Sell the Dead) und Wunderkind Ti West (The Innkeepers, House of the Devil). Im Film erbeuten ein paar Diebe ein seltenes Videotape, auf dem fiese Found Footage-Filme draufsind. Ich mag den Trailer. Sehr.

Etwas wirrer Trailer zu „Eddie, the sleepwalking Cannibal“, aber ich mag die Prämisse eines Menschen, der im Schlaf Leute aufisst.

Lars Olaafsen , once a young celebrity in the art world is slipping away fast into the land of has-beens. Ronny, his long-time art dealer wants his meal ticket back but Lars refuses to paint. His creativity comes at too high a cost. His inspiration is carnage – blood, guts and limbs – and he’s vowed to never go down that dark road again. Despite the odd assortment of local eccentrics (and a couple of hostile teachers) things look promising overall for Lars at his new job. That is, until he meets 30-year-old Eddie, a brawny mute who attends the school and harbours a dark and sordid secret of his own…

Hier der Red Band-Trailer zum Maniac-Remake mit Elijah Wood als irrer Serienmörder. Einen ersten Trailer hatte Jet vor einer Weile gepostet, der hier ist rund ‘ne halbe Minute länger. Sieht mir bislang nach einem gelungenen Remake aus, ich bin gespannt.

Hier der erste richtige Trailer zu David Cholewas No-Budget-SciFi-Horrorstreifen “Dead Shadows”, in dem ein Komet Tentakelviecher und Zombies auf die Erde bringt. Klingt natürlich voll nach “Night of the Comet” und sieht angenehm “Attack the Block”ig aus. Ich bin sehr gespannt!

Dead Shadows tells the terrifying story about a young man, Chris, whose parents were brutally killed 11 years ago, on the same day that tHaley’s Comet could be seen from earth. Tonight, a new comet is going to appear and everyone in his building are getting ready for a party to celebrate the event. There’s even an apocalypse theory going around. As the night falls, Chris starts to discover that people are acting strange – and it seems to somehow be connected to the comet. People are becoming disoriented and violent and it doesn’t take long before they start mutating into something from beyond this world. In a fight for survival, Chris has to try to escape from his building with the help from some other tenants – but will they make it out alive?

Hier der neue Trailer zu meinem Lieblingsfischgemetzel „Piranha 3DD“. Wird komplett trashiger Unsinn und wahrscheinlich toll. Regie führt John Gulager, der bereits die sehr schöne Feast-Trilogie gemacht hatte. Und diesem Casting möchte ich unbedingt beim Fischessen zusehen: Danielle Panabaker, Matt Bush, Gary Busey, Katrina Bowden, Christopher Lloyd, Ving Rhames, Paul Scheer und David Hasselhoff.

Hier der erste Trailer zu „Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter“. Ich glaub’ ja, das wird ganz großer Müll, aber ansehen werde ich ihn mir. Hier der Plot:

Hier der Trailer zum nächsten Teil des Resident Evil-Teils. Ich werde mir den anschauen, weil ich mir fast alle Genre-Filme ansehe und ich auch sonst alle Teile des Franchise gesehen habe. Aber das eklige, massive Product-Placement in der ersten Hälfte des Teasers ist fast schon unerträglich und macht das nicht unbedingt einfacher.

Schöne Meldung von Hammer Films! Die restaurieren über 30 ihrer Klassiker für aufwändige BluRay-Releases. Den Anfang macht natürlich Dracula, inklusive einer längeren Todesszene aus der japanischen Version des Films, das Teil erscheint im März, weitere folgen verteilt im ganzen Jahr, unter anderem „Plaque of the Zombies“, „The Legend of the 7 Golden Vampires“, „Frankenstein Created Woman“ und „The Mummys Shrout“. Zur Restaurations-Aktion haben sie auch ein eigenes Blog aufgesetzt, das ich mir grade in den Feedreader gepackt habe. Leider finde ich kein Wort zu meinem Lieblings-Hammer „The Curse of the Werewolf“. Abwarten.

Dracula Prince of Darkness is the first title scheduled for release in the global restoration project and will be released in the UK in conjunction with STUDIOCANAL in March 2012. The partnership continues throughout the spring for the releases of The Reptile and The Plague of The Zombies, and will also include The Devil Rides Out, Rasputin the Mad Monk and The Mummy’s Shroud during the course of the year.

Hammer will also release definitive versions of its three hugely-influential original Gothic classics in the UK: The Curse of Frankenstein, Dracula and The Mummy.

As well as featuring a fully-restored HD picture and restored sound, the remastered films will boast a host of newly-filmed extras, including interviews with cast members. These documentary extras are being produced by Hammer expert and historian, Marcus Hearn – author of the recent “The Hammer Vault”.

Pinewood Studios carried out the restoration of the first three STUDIOCANAL titles after housing the original negatives for the films, restoring the original UK title sequence to The Plague of The Zombies as well as the UK title cards to Dracula Prince of Darkness.

Hier der erste Trailer zu Tobe Hoopers Djinn, gedreht in den Vereinigten Arabischen Emiraten. Sieht okayish aus, läuft bei mir aber eher unter „Kuriosum des Horror-Genres“.

An Emirati couple (played by Khalid Laith and Razane Jammal) return from a trip to the United States only to discover that their new apartment has been built on a site that is home to some malevolent beings.

Auf Reddit postet seit Jahresbeginn ein User namens Vidzilla Montagen bekannter Websites während der beginnenden Zombie-Apokalypse. Konsens ist wohl, dass es sich um ein Viral für den ersten Trailer zu „World War Z“ handeln soll, seit dem in einem der Bilder ein Easteregg aufgetaucht ist: „There was an easteregg with a .zip file called 41yad.zip.“ Ziemlich stimmige Theorie, in ein paar Tagen wissen wir mehr und selbst wenn es kein WWZ-Viral ist, finde ich das Dings superunterhaltsam, der könnte gerne so das ganze Jahr weitermachen.

Hier der Trailer zum am Donnerstag kommenden Trailer zum Alien-Prequel „Prometheus“. Es gab vor einer Weile bereits einen Bootleg-Trailer, der wurde aber noch gelöscht, während ich vom Feedreader in den Browser wechselte, um das Ding zu posten. Ich hasse normalerweise diese Trailer für Trailer-Geschichten, First Looks oder was auch immer, aber das hier macht mich ganz wuschig.

[update] Grade geht ein zweites Preview durchs Netz. Das geht schonmal gut los!

Hier endlich der erste Trailer (und ein tolles neues Poster) zu Joss Whedons „Cabin in the Woods“. Der Film sollte bereits zu Halloween 2009 in die Kinos kommen, kam dann aber im Zuge von MGMs Finanzdesaster unter die Räder und wird seit Jahren verschoben. Zuletzt hieß es, es wäre ein Release zu Halloween 2011 anvisiert, auf dem Poster prangt nun der 13. April – ein Freitag, übrigens.

Über den Plot des Films ist praktisch noch nichts bekannt, er liest sich offiziell so: „Five friends go to a remote cabin in the woods. Bad things happen. If you think you know this story, think again.“ Der Trailer sieht okay aus, überzeugt mich aber aus ein paar Gründen nicht (zu sehr 13 Ghosts und Lost, zu wenig klassischer Outback-Slasher), ansehen werde ich mir Cabin aber definitiv. Schnieker Trailer zu „Smiley“ von Michael Gallagher, der erstaunliche 23 Jahre alt ist und laut IMDB mit Neun (!) seinen ersten Kurzfilm gedreht hatte. Ich glaube nicht, dass der Film wirklich und richtig gut werden wird, aber das sieht mir nach für das Alter sehr beeindruckend solidem Handwerk aus. Ich bin gespannt.

After learning of an urban legend in which a demented serial killer named Smiley can be summoned through the Internet, mentally fragile Ashley must decide whether she is losing her mind or becoming Smiley’s next victim.”

Der Film „Mega Spider“ von Mike Mendez wird wahrscheinlich allerhöchstens Asylum-Niveau erreichen, aber der Plot klingt nett und die Poster finde ich richtig kuschelig, nach dem Klick noch eins. Außerdem gab es schon viel zu lange keinen Film mehr mit riesigen (und ich meine RIESIGEN!) Riesenspinnen.

Hier der Trailer zu „Corman’s World: Exploits of a Hollywood Rebel“, Doku über das Werk Roger Cormans. Für mich ein absolutes Must Watch.

Ein Remake des unterschätzten 80er-Jahre Schnetzelfilms Maniac ist schon lange in Planung, jetzt scheint das Projekt an Fahrt aufzunehmen und es gibt gleich ein paar frische Infobits dazu. Das erstaunlichste dürfte die Hauptrolle sein, die mit Elijah Wood besetzt wurde. Ich mag den Wood ja sehr gerne und sein Spiel in Sin City war ein Bravourstück. Und der jetzt im Maniac-Remake, produziert von meinem Lieblingshorrormeister Alexandre Aja… I am sold. Von Deadline:

In the indie that will be directed by Franck Khalfoun and produced by Alexandre Aja and Gregory Lavasseur, Wood plays the role of a serial killer who works at a shop that sells antique mannequins. He finds victims on the Internet and stalks them like prey, all the while suffering from hallucinations that throw him back into the past, when he was abused by his own mother. In his twisted mind, he gains a measure of revenge against his mother with each kill. It will shoot later this year.

Außerdem soll der Film (und da widersprechen sich die Quellen) ganz oder teilweise in Point-Of-View gedreht werden. Das könnte alles sehr nett werden, ich bin sehr gespannt.
