Trailer zur familienfreundlichen Science-Fiction “Real Steel” aus dem Hause Disney/DreamWorks. Regie führt Shawn Levy, die Hauptrolle teilt sich Hugh Jackman mit einer Schar hässlicher Roboter. Produziert wird das ganze u.a. von Steven Spielberg und Robert Zemeckis, die Musik übernimmt Danny Elfman. Und jetzt mal so nebenbei: Was soll der Quatsch? Reichen Michael Bays megabekloppte “Transformers”-Filme nicht aus?

Nach dem Teaser nun der Trailer zu “I Am Number Four”, dem neuen Film D.J. Caruso (“Eagle Eye”). Gott, sieht das langweilig aus. Caruso eben.

Ich bin ja eigentlich kein großer Freund von Featurettes bevor ich einen Film angeschaut habe, den ich unbedingt sehen will, aber hier mache ich eine Ausnahme. Es wird ja nun wirklich nicht viel verraten und interessant ist es auch noch:

Underwire hat eine schöne Galerie voller Concept Arts und Production-Stills zu „Iron Sky“, dem Nazis-on-the-fucking-moon-Film. Oben ein „ominous scenario, set in the laboratory of Dr. Richter, was put together in an abandoned portion of a factory outside Frankfurt, Germany.“

Matthew Ranzetta hat auf seinem Blog fünf alternative Filmposter mit Star-Wars-Einschlag designt. Lohnt sich, vier weitere Motive gibt’s dort noch zu sehen. Das ist so ziemlich genau die Art Minimalismus, die ich bei Filmpostern am Liebsten mag.

Was ich bisher sah, hat mich nicht umgehauen, aber auch nicht enttäuscht. Solides Handwerk, was zur Folge hätte, dass ich mir den Film vielleicht in der zweiten oder dritten Woche angeschaut hätte. Dieser fan-made Trailer hat mich dann doch irgendwie geflasht. Wenn es allerdings den “Tron Legacy” Produzenten Sean Bailey beeindruckt hat, frage ich mich ernsthaft, ob der Film dem Trailer gerecht wird.

Okay, heute ist offiziell Fuck-Day. Irvin Kershner, Regisseur des besten Teils der Star Wars-Saga, ist heute im Alter von 87 Jahren nach langer Krankheit verstorben. Neben Empire drehte er unter anderem „Robocop 2“ und den zweitbesten Bond aller Zeiten: „Sag niemals nie“.

Von AFP: „US director Irvin Kershner, renowned for making the second Star Wars film, “The Empire Strikes Back”, has died in Los Angeles, his goddaughter Adriana Santini told AFP on Monday. He was 87 years old.“

Scriptflag bekamen von einem Leser diese Concept-Arts geschickt, angeblich sollen sie den Space-Jockey aus dem kommenden Alien-Prequel darstellen. Bestätigt ist das alles natürlich nicht, aber die sehen schon genau so aus, wie man sich so einen unversteinerten Space-Jockey vorstellt. (via io9)

Ziemlich fettes Poster zu Christopher Nolans “Inception”, das zur Vermarktung des Films nicht veröffentlicht wurde und erst jetzt zu sehen ist. Habe den Film kürzlich erst nachgeholt und… ach egal, man darf den ja nicht doof finden, ist ja schließlich große Blockbuster-Kunst vom Mindfuck-Maestro. Das Poster ist trotzdem schick.

Schöner Trailer für Disney CGI-SciFi-Komödie „Mars needs Moms“, die Story wirkt ein bisschen konfus, sieht allerdings insgesamt ziemlich gut aus. Kommt im März 2011, hier der Plot gefolgt vom Poster:

Take out the trash, eat your broccoli — who needs moms, anyway? In “”Mars Needs Moms”" nine-year-old Milo finds out just how much he needs his mom (Joan Cusack) when she’s nabbed by Martians who plan to steal her mom-ness for their own young. Milo embarks on a quest to save his mom — a wild adventure that involves stowing away on a spaceship, navigating an elaborate, multi-level planet and taking on the alien nation and their leader. With the help of a tech-savvy, underground earthman named Gribble (Dan Fogler) and a rebel Martian girl called Ki (Elisabeth Harnois), Milo just might find his way back to his mom — in more ways than one.

In der iPad-Ausgabe des Wired-Magazins ist ein Teaser-Trailer zu einem neuen Projekt von Neill Blomkamp (District 9) aufgetaucht, scheint sich um ein Online-Projekt mit Aliens oder Biotech zu handeln. Von /Film:

The creature has a circular stamp on its side which reads “18.12 AGM Heartland Pat Pend USA” and the outer circle reads: “US Inspected And Approved”.

18.12 is the number of the issue of WiReD that this video appears in. I did some searching and found out that a Beverly Hills-based company named Sable Productions Ltd. filed for the trademark “AGM Heartland” on October 18th 2010. The trademark use is labeled as:

Entertainment services by way of an online website with video, audio and textual content and images featuring characters and storylines about a fictional genetic engineering company that produces genetically engineered and altered organisms

Collider präsentiert eine 15min Hintergrundfeaturette zum kommenden Tron: Legacy der bei uns im Januar startet. Ich hab ja schon ein bißchen was vom Film gesehen beim Bloggers Day Ende September in L.A. und bleibe sehr gespannt, ob der fertige Film hält was die Ausschnitte versprachen. Hier der Trailer zum neuen Film von Duncan Jones („Moon“). Matrix meets Groundhog Day meets Speed, oder so ähnlich. Vielleicht eine Spur zu bemüht, aber da kann man drüber hinwegsehen. Hier der Plot:

Captain Colter Stevens (Jake Gyllenhaal) wakes with a jolt to find himself on a commuter train heading into Chicago. Although the other passengers all seem to know him, he has absolutely no idea where – or even who – he is. The last thing Colter remembers is flying a helicopter mission in Iraq, but here he is in someone else’s life going through someone else’s morning commute. Before he can do anything an express train zooms by on the opposite track and a bomb explodes, seemingly killing Colter and all the other passengers. Colter comes to in an isolation chamber, strapped to a seat, and wearing his military flight suit. He still has no idea what’s happening, except that he’s being spoken to by mission controller Carol Goodwin (Vera Farmiga), who calmly recites a series of memory questions to which Colter is shocked to realize he knows the answers.

He learns he’s part of an operation called “Beleaguered Castle,” but before he can progress any further, Goodwin starts up the machinery and suddenly Colter is back on the train, at exactly the same time he first appeared there, once again speeding through Chicago with the same group of commuters. Colter figures he’s in some kind of simulation exercise, with his task being to find the bomber on board the train before it goes off again. Living the explosion over and over, Colter must uncover the identity of the bomber, while also figuring out what the alternative universe of “Beleaguered Castle” is. Adding to the puzzle, Colter uses the second chance opportunities to make peace with his father, and to find romance with a fellow passenger on the train.

Schöner Trailer zu einem Film namens „Beyond the Black Rainbow“ in angenehmen 80s-SciFi-Chique, erinnert ein wenig an „The Cube“, sieht aber besser aus. Ob und wann der hierzulande irgendwie zu sehen sein wird, weiß ich nicht.

Set in the strange and oppressive emotional landscape of 1983, Beyond The Black Rainbow is a Reagan-era fever dream inspired by hazy childhood memories of midnight movies and Saturday morning cartoons.

Deep within the mysterious Arboria Institute, a disturbed and beautiful girl (Allan) is held captive by a doctor in search of inner peace. Her mind controlled by a sinister technology. Silently, she waits for her next session with deranged therapist Dr. Barry Nyle (Rogers). If she hopes to escape, she must journey through the darkest reaches of The Institute… but Nyle wonʼt easily part with his most gifted and dangerous creation.
