Hier der komplette Trailer zur dritten Walking Dead-Staffel frisch von der ComicCon. Ich bin zwar noch unschlüssig, ob ich das Casting sowohl für den Gouvernor als auch Michonne okay finden soll, aber die Gefängnis-Staffel ist definitiv Pflichtprogramm.

Hier der Trailer zu Bryan Singers Webserie H+, in der eine Technologie durchdreht, die die Hirne der Menschen 24/7 ans Internet anschließt. Die Serie hat am 8. August Premiere auf Youtube, ob sie auch in Deutschland zu sehen ist, weiß ich nicht. H+ sieht mir ‘ne Spur zu glatt aus, aber ich mag die Story und finde das Format spannend. Werde ich mal im Auge behalten.

Hier der Trailer zu JJ Abrams neuer Serie “Revolution”, in der nach einem Blackout Elektrizität vom kompletten Planeten verschwindet. 15 Jahre danach müssen ein paar Leute die Erde retten. Sieht toll aus!

Hier der erste richtige Trailer zur zweiten Staffel von Game of Thrones. Am 1. April geht das Gemetzel wieder los. Ich freu mich.

Die Satire-Seite Christwire hat 12 Gründe, warum man Game of Thrones boykotieren sollte. Und natürlich haben sie mit jedem einzelnen Grund recht. Hier die Kurzfassung:

1. Sexual abnormality, including incest and lesbianism, appears in graphic detail.
2. Witchcraft is presented as empowering while Christian values are utterly insulted.
3. There is far too much violence and this prevents the overall plot from ever becoming compelling.
4. Emilia Clarke is such an untalented actress that her only role in the show is to be eye candy for pedophiles.
5. By depicting the traditional heterosexual family unit as dysfunctional and a socialistic revolutionary army as an ideal alternative, the show reveals its underlying communist bias.
6. Actor Peter Dinklage, who plays a dwarf on the show, has become the poster child for sodomy amongst America’s youths.
7. At times, the series appears to be little more than an excuse to display illicit homosexual scenarios.

Die BBC hat einen Ausstrahlungstermin für die erste Folge der zweiten Staffel der sehr schönen Sherlock Holmes-Serie bekanntgegeben: Das Ding kommt in knapp drei Wochen, am 1. Januar 2012. YAY! Hier die PM:

David Yates, Regisseur der letzten vier Potter-Filme, dreht für die BBC einen Dr.Who-Film. Ich fand seine Potters ja ganz angenehm, auch wenn ich der Handlung nicht ganz folgen konnte, da ich bei den Büchern bei Band 4 aus Faulheitsgründen ausgestiegen bin. Ich bin gespannt.

“Harry Potter” director David Yates is teaming up with the BBC to turn its iconic sci-fi TV series “Doctor Who” into a bigscreen franchise. Yates, who directed the last four Potter films, told Daily Variety that he is about to start work on developing a “Doctor Who” movie with Jane Tranter, head of L.A.-based BBC Worldwide Prods.

“We’re looking at writers now. We’re going to spend two to three years to get it right,” he said. “It needs quite a radical transformation to take it into the bigger arena.” […]

“The notion of the time-travelling Time Lord is such a strong one, because you can express story and drama in any dimension or time,” Yates said. […] [He] made clear that his movie adaptation would not follow on from the current TV series, but would take a completely fresh approach to the material.

“Russell T. Davies and then Steven Moffat have done their own transformations, which were fantastic, but we have to put that aside and start from scratch,” he said.

Good News, everyone! Für die Serienverfilmung von Kings Roman „Under the Dome“ hat man Brian K. Vaughan als Drehbuchschreiber engagiert. Der Mann hat an Lost mitgeschrieben (Staffel 3 bis 5), ist mir aber vor allem als Comic-Autor von „Y – The Last Man“ bekannt, eine der besten Comicserien des letzten Jahrzehnts. Ich war vorher schon sehr gespannt, denn der Stoff gibt grade für eine Serie einiges her. Mit Vaughan an Bord kann das nur noch gut werden.

After an extensive search, comic book and Lost writer Brian K. Vaughan has been tapped to pen Showtime’s drama series adaptation of Stephen King’s 2009 novel Under the Dome, from DreamWorks Television. The supernatural thriller revolves around locals at a Maine vacation spot who battle one another when a force field suddenly surrounds their town and cuts them off from the rest of the world.

ZDFNeo zeigt seit gestern die zweite Staffel von Ijon Tichy, eine sehr freie Serienverfilmung von Stanisław Lems Sterntagebüchern. Staffel Eins war zwar eher so halbokay und der alberne polnische Akzent ist ein bisschen peinlich, aber Nora Tschirner in Kombination mit Stanisław Lem muss ich mir natürlich ansehen und etwas charmanter ist die zweite Staffel auch, zumindest nach der ersten Folge der zweiten Staffel, die ich mir grade angesehen habe. Das ZDF hat die ersten beiden Folgen vorab in ihre Mediathek gestellt:

Folge 1: Held von Kosmus: Von harmonischer Stimmung kann keine Rede sein: In der Rakete ist ein verbissener Machtkampf zwischen Raumpilot Ijon Tichy und seiner holografischen Assistentin ausgebrochen!

Folge 2: Shopping: Ein blinder Passagier hat sich an Bord der Rakete geschlichen: Mel, der fellige Assistent von Prof. Tarantoga weiß nicht, was er für ein Lebewesen ist.

X-Posting von Nerdcore: Netter Trailer zur Zombie-Miniserie Viva Berlin! (Facebook) von Moritz Mohr und Benjamin Munz. Die Serie ist ihre Abschlussarbeit an der Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg und lief im Sommer bereits auf dem Fantasy Filmfest. Ich weiß nicht, ob die Serie wirklich etwas taugt, behalte das aber im Auge. Snip vom FFF:

Der deutsche Zombiefilm erhebt sich aus seinem Grab und startet einen blutigen Blitzangriff auf die Hauptstadt. VIVA BERLIN! heißt das ambitionierte Abschlussprojekt einiger Filmstudenten, die uns darin „Horrorgeschichten ganz ohne Weichspüler“ versprechen: „Genrekost vom Feinsten, so hart und kompromisslos, wie es die Zombiefans kennen und erwarten.“ Und sie lösen dieses Versprechen ein.

Die höchst professionelle Produktion ist für deutsche Verhältnisse von ungewohnter Härte – sowohl vom Gorelevel als auch thematisch. Deshalb laden die Jungproduzenten ihre Serie Ende des Jahres ins Netz – dann können die kurzen Folgen, so drückte es der Regisseur aus, „irgendwo zwischen E-Mails, einer Runde World of Warcraft und Youporn angeschaut werden.“

Die ersten beiden Clips für die französische Serienverfilmung der Comicsserie Heavy Metal hatte ich im Februar hier gebloggt, jetzt gibt es einen richtigen Teaser. Überzeugt mich leider nicht so richtig, aber das ist auch noch lange nicht fertigproduziert: Die Serie startet im Oktober 2012 und bei Heavy Metal besteht für mich ohnehin Anschaupflicht, wird definitiv geguckt.

AMC hat beschlossen, The Walking Dead um eine weitere Staffel zu verlängern. Das ist nicht weiter überraschend, die Zuschauerzahlen sind bislang sensationell, die erste Folge der zweiten Season war die stärkste Eröffnung einer Serie überhaupt. Beim derzeitigen praktisch nicht vorhandenen Erzähltempo (was nicht unbedingt wertend gemeint ist) bin ich mir aber nichtmal sicher, ob wir nächstes Jahr endlich im Knast und beim Governor landen werden. Wie auch immer: Die dritte Staffel kommt.

AMC hat gestern Nacht die sechsteilige Miniserie „Torn Apart“ zur in zwei Wochen startenden neuen Staffel von The Walking Dead online gestellt. Die Clips sind okay, die Maske wie schon in der Serie grandios, die Dialoge sind ganz, ganz furchtbar. Aber die Miniserie erzählt die Vorgeschichte einer alten Bekannten, wie sich ganz am Ende herausstellt… und alleine dafür sollte man sie sich (zumindest als Fan) ansehen. Oben der erste Teil, die anderen nach dem Klick.

Trailer zur vierten Staffel von „Sons of Anarchy“. Macht mich durchaus ein bisschen hibbelig. Die Serie hatte ich im März komplett am Stück weggeguckt, Review hatte ich hier bei Nerdcore aufgeschrieben.

„American Horror Story“ wird eine neue Serie von den Machern von „Glee“ und soll ein „psychosexual thriller“ werden über eine Familie in einem Geisterhaus. Sieht alles sehr interessant aus, Poster oben, Trailer unten.

It tells the story of the Harmon family: Vivien (Connie Britton) and Ben (Dylan McDermott) and their teenage daughter Violet (Taissa Farmiga). They’ve got plenty of family problems, but their newest one is that they have moved into a straight-up haunted house. And it’s not pleasantly haunted by friendly ghosts that look like Casper, either. It’s haunted by demon-y looking things, and it may possibly cause you to hallucinate, and it has a history of not just spooking but downright … well, devouring the people who live in it.
