Toller Trailer zu „Sound of my Voice“ von Zal Batmanglij über ein Journalisten-Pärchen, dass undercover in einer Sekte recherchiert, die eine Dame aus der Zukunft verehrt. Tolle Story, ich bin sehr gespannt!

In SOUND OF MY VOICE, Peter (Christopher Denham) and Lorna (Nicole Vicius), a couple and documentary filmmaking team, infiltrate a mysterious group led by an enigmatic young woman named Maggie (Brit Marling). Intent on exposing her as a charlatan and freeing the followers from her grip, Peter and Lorna start to question their objective and each other as they unravel the secrets of Maggie’s underworld.

Nach dem Klick noch die ersten zwölf Minuten des Films, die ich mir allerdings noch nicht angesehen habe. Vorsicht Autostart!

Heute wurde auf der WonderCon jede Menge Kram zu Ridley Scotts „Prometheus“ veröffentlicht. Zunächst der obige Full Trailer, nach dem Klick noch der IMAX-Trailer und ein Viral mit David, dem Roboter der Weyland Industries. Auf der Website zu den Weyland-Virals (es gab da noch einen TED-Talk aus der Zukunft, der hat mich aber aus irgendwelchen Gründen überhaupt nicht angemacht) findet man noch eine Timeline der Firma aus Alien. Ziemlich toll, das alles und der Full Trailer sieht natürlich extrem schick aus. Ich bin sehr gespannt, ob der Film dem ganzen Hype am Ende gerecht wird.

Hier der neue Trailer zu Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter. Sieht immer noch doof aus.

Hier der zweite Trailer zu ParaNorman, dem neuen StopMotion-Dings der „Coraline“-Macher. Wird garantiert nicht so schick wie Frankenweenie, aber fast. In einer besseren Welt würde Hollywood nur sowas machen und den ganzen Comic/Transformers/Whatnot-Schrott in die Tonne treten. Yeah, I said this.

Hier der neue Trailer zu meinem Lieblingsfischgemetzel „Piranha 3DD“. Wird komplett trashiger Unsinn und wahrscheinlich toll. Regie führt John Gulager, der bereits die sehr schöne Feast-Trilogie gemacht hatte. Und diesem Casting möchte ich unbedingt beim Fischessen zusehen: Danielle Panabaker, Matt Bush, Gary Busey, Katrina Bowden, Christopher Lloyd, Ving Rhames, Paul Scheer und David Hasselhoff.

Hier der neue Trailer zu The Avengers mit jeder Menge neuen Szenen. Ich werde mir den als Comic-Fan natürlich ansehen müssen, aber ich glaube nach wie vor, dass der hier dem ganzen Comicverfilmungswahn der letzten Jahre mit ‘nem ziemlichen Overkill ein Ende setzen wird. Ich hoff’s jedenfalls.

Chuck Norris vs Communism soll eine Doku über das kommunistische Regime im Rumänien der 80er und die dort illegal vertriebenen Filme auf VHS-Tapes werden. Der Film sucht grade finanzielle Unterstützung per Crowdfunding auf Indiegogo.

In the 1980′s, Romania’s communist regime reached its most drastic stage. Ceausescu became obsessed with repaying Western loans and with building himself a palace of unprecedented proportions. TV was reduced to two hours of broadcast, focused mostly on praising Ceausescu and the regime’s achievements.

It was then that Irina Margareta Nistor dubbed over 5,000 foreign films that entered the country illegally and were distributed on the black market. Her husky and high-pitched voice became the symbol of freedom. ‘Chuck Norris vs. Communism’ follows the story of the tapes, the lives that were touched by them and the people who made it possible for Romanians to escape their harsh reality through the spectacular world of film.

Schöner Trailer zur Doku „Last Days Here“ über Bobby Liebling, ehemaliger Sänger der Metalband Pentagram, der mit 50 im Keller der Eltern lebt und an der Nadel hängt. Erinnert natürlich sehr an „The Story of Anvil“, sieht aber etwas düsterer und hoffnungsloser aus.

LAST DAYS HERE, the new documentary from Don Argott and Demian Fenton (THE ART OF THE STEAL, ROCK SCHOOL), is a raw yet unexpectedly touching portrait of cult metal legend Bobby Liebling, chronicling his bid to resurrect his life and career after decades wasting away in his parents’ basement.Liebling made his mark in the ’70s as the outrageous frontman of Pentagram, a “street”Black Sabbath whose heavy metal riffs once blew audiences’ minds. Hier ein neuer Trailer zu Snowtown, einem australischen Serienkillerfilm basierend auf wahren Begebenheiten (gedreht an den tatsächlichen Tatorten der Snowtown Murders). Der Film macht seit rund einem Jahr seine runden auf Festivals, ist in Australien schon auf DVD raus und gehört zu meinen Top 5-Lieblingsfilmen des vergangenen Jahres. Jetzt kriegt er doch nochmal ‘nen Kino-Release in den USA, wann der Film hierzulande zu sehen sein wird, weiß ich nicht, aber man hat ja andere Möglichkeiten.

Hier der Plot: „When 16 year-old Jamie is introduced to a charismatic man, a friendship begins. As the relationship grows so does Jamie’s suspicions, until he finds his world threatened by both his loyalty for, and fear of his newfound father figure, John Bunting: Australia’s most notorious serial killer.“

Den ersten Trailer zu „Beyond the Black Rainbow“ hatte ich hier vor zwei Jahren gebloggt, seitdem läuft der Film auf Festivals hoch und runter und ich habe bislang nur gutes über den Film gehört. Jetzt startet er wohl endlich in den USA im Kino und dürfte dann früher oder später hierzulande wohl auf DVD erscheinen. Besser als gar nicht, denn auch der neue Trailer sieht fantastisch aus.

Set in the strange and oppressive emotional landscape of 1983, Beyond The Black Rainbow is a Reagan-era fever dream inspired by hazy childhood memories of midnight movies and Saturday morning cartoons.

Steve Carell sucht mit Keira Knightley seine verlorene erste Liebe am Ende der Welt, als ein Komet auf die Erde kracht. Sieht mir nach sehr sympathischer RomCom-Unterhaltung mit schönem Plot und tollem Soundtrack aus (Road to Nowhere ist einer meiner Lieblings-Talking Heads-Songs). Wir definitiv angeschaut.

Set in a too-near future, a man searches for a meaningful connection as humanity’s last days are at hand. Can he find his greatest love at the worst possible time? As the respective journeys of Dodge and Penny converge, the two spark to each other and their outlooks – if not the world’s – brighten.
